The Quality Supervisor serves to direct, develop, train and supervise the Quality Auditors and Technicians involved in inspection and quality control procedures to ensure that all quality standards are being followed.
The Quality Supervisor must demonstrate the ability to lead, direct, and motivate the quality department. Strong communication skills, intermediate mathematical skills, team working skills, and the ability to self-motivate and supervise others are required. This individual must monitor quality including, incoming materials, production shipping and provide feedback to supervisors on quality issues. Additional required skills are effective problem solving skills, a good business sense, and an understanding of the overall business focus and company goals.
•Supervise Quality Auditors and Technicians, this includes: hiring, developing and training/cross training.
•Assist with department performance reviews, (including: appraisals and disciplines).
•Ensure quality standards and auditing protocols are effectively followed and maintained.
•Maintain responsibility for: calibration records, incoming and 1st article inspections, RMA’s, and ISQNCR’s.
•Communicate quality issues to proper department or supplies.
•Construct strategies and make decisions that proactively affect the Quality department and Marvin.
•Create and maintain a work environment that promotes success and surpasses company goals.
•Maintain responsibility for keeping proper paperwork and documentation of departmental data.
•Communicate safety and safety training and ensure that employees are properly trained on using required tools and equipment.
Education, Training and Experience:
· High School diploma/GED required
· Strong communication and problem solving skills are required
· Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and basic computer skills required
· Must be able to properly manage daily tasks and delegate as needed
