Senior Financial Analyst

Position Overview:
The Sr. Financial Planning Analyst will partner with business teams to understand operational plans and build financial models that enable better decision making. This role will provide analysis and insight into operating results, trends and opportunities for improvement. The Sr. Analyst will help drive the budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes. This position is part of the Financial Planning & Analysis function and works closely with others in the team as well as across other departments. The Sr. Financial Planning Analyst must have strong analytical capabilities, the ability to collaborate with business leaders, and strong communications skills.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Outside Sales and Inside Sales functions to provide financial analytics that measure impact of activity and investment in the functions. 
Essential Job Functions:
• Provide insights, analytics, and presentations to shed light on financial performance and help drive business decisions
• Work closely with functional partners on forecasts and budgets to accurately predict investments and request funding to drive business outcomes
• Analyze monthly operating results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic and business plans
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education / Experience:
• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting and analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, math, or related field
• Experience working with outside and inside sales functions within a manufacturing organization
• Superior use of excel including macros, pivot tables, and v-lookups as well as business intelligence tools such as Qlick, Tableau, or Spotfire
