Senior Product Marketing Strategist

Position Overview:
This position is responsible for providing leadership and management of Go-To-Market strategies and processes to execute against business’ short and long-term goals and to effectively reach our target audiences and segments. This position must ensure go to market strategies for product launches are consistently implemented across segments at national, regional, and local levels. The Senior Product Marketing Strategist collaborates with the VP and directors of New Ventures, R&D, Marvin Design Lab, VP of Marketing, Director of product management, product managers, sales leadership and various functional areas within Marvin (customer service, IT) and business unit(s) to drive collaboration and alignment of Go to Market strategies for product launches, including holding team associates accountable to the goals of the product launch including execution and measurable KPIs. This role is a key contributor in building out process(es) for the company, as needed, across various functional areas of the business. This position is best suited for a team member who is willing be comfortable working in the gray at times, knowing that the job is likely to evolve as the needs of the business change and grow.
Essential Job Functions:
Planning and Strategy (45% time allocation):
• Act as the evangelist and subject matter expert on Go-To-Market strategy and process in support of product launches, new ventures projects & acquisition integration.
• Develop and deploy a process of GTM for product launches, in collaboration with various functional areas of the broader Marvin enterprise.
• Continue to monitor and assist as the process evolves and work with the teams to pivot when needed
• Lead cross-functional planning and budgeting against strategies to ensure successful achievement of relevant launch KPI’s
• Develop annual communications plan for each key initiative
• Develop process across organizational functions as relates to NV, Core and Design Lab
• Works closely with Product Management leaders to ensure product strategies and go to market strategies are in alignment with measurable goals and objectives
Management and Leadership (30% time allocation):
• Lead and collaborate with a cross-functional team of product development, marketing, sales and service to drive GTM projects from strategy through execution
• Lead with influence throughout all levels of the organization
• Initiate and facilitate discussions, collaboration and action plans that move work forward efficiently and at a high-quality standard
• Ensure strong relationships across team by understanding and managing expectations, engaging others and inspiring collaboration between NV, Core and Marvin Design Lab and other functional areas of the business
• Work with Marvin Creative Agency to scope integrated marketing programs and campaigns in relation to GTM strategy and process.
• Encourage and direct cross-functional communications and project implementation with Marketing, MDL, NV, Sales, IT and Service.
Drive for Results (25% time allocation):
• Responsible to analyze and report GTM KPI’s for new product performance
• Ensure effective and efficient execution of cross-functional plans
• Plan work and processes that optimize the team’s productivity
• Responsible to develop the go to market budgets and adhere to the budget tracking process

• Previous experience in managing and/or leading brand communications project managers though use project scoping, creative development and implementation.

• Strong history of leading and executing solutions marketing strategies and plans including building a market-driven business case, creating compelling messaging materials, developing and executing marketing and launch plans

• A deep understanding of various processes used in developing of advertising, program or promotional materials in print, electronic or other forms of media.

Accountability Measures: 
• Achieve GTM KPI’s for assigned product and solution market launches
• Achieve stated customer value/satisfaction scores on Distributor/Dealer Surveys
• Establish & engrain new processes that re-shape GTM activities for the organization
Education / Experience:  
• Bachelor’s degree in related field is required
• MBA or further professional education preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience with demonstrated achievement in leading go to market strategies and product marketing initiatives to meet goals and objectives
• Building products and/or related building industry experience preferred
• Efficiently work with and leverage various technology platforms to maximize effectiveness; proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
